Where to Eat Gluten Free in Branson: 15 Restaurants and Attractions to Safely Eat
Branson is known for its extra-large helpings of biscuits, cinnamon rolls, and fried foods. On surface level, it might not seem like it is a good place for someone with Celiac Disease or a gluten sensitivity to visit, but if you know where to eat gluten free in Branson, there are a lot of good options!
I have Celiac Disease and I have been to Branson four times in the last two years. I will admit, there were some places that were challenging to find options. That’s why I wanted to put together a list of restaurants with good gluten free options and mentions some of the most popular attractions, like Silver Dollar City, Dolly Parton’s Stampede, and Big Cedar, so that others would know where they could safely eat and be able to thoroughly enjoy Branson.
Thank you to Explore Branson for sponsoring this post.

Note: It is always a good practice to check with servers about kitchen preparation procedures to avoid cross-contamination and mention your sensitivity or allergy before ordering. I have done my best to compile information, but as anyone with an allergy knows, there can be mistakes. I will do my best to keep this blog up to date, but menus and procedures may change, so it is always wise to check with the restaurants.
Gluten Free in Branson:
Silver Dollar City
When people think of Silver Dollar City, they think of the cinnamon rolls, the fresh breads, and all those incredible pastries. It definitely feels like a carb-lover’s dream. But if you’re looking for gluten free in Branson, I was honestly surprised by how accommodating the park is trying to be for food allergies.
Every restaurant has an ingredient binder that you can ask to see. Ingredients change, and things you assume are safe sometimes aren’t, so I recommend checking even if something seems like it should be gluten free.

The Tater Twist stand is a favorite (spiral potatoes on a stick), and Rivertown Smokehouse is one of the easiest places for a full meal with naturally gluten free smoked meats. The Mine Restaurant has options too, but it’s a salad bar, so there may be some cross-contamination risk from spoons getting mixed up or foods being near one another.
There aren’t any dedicated fryers, so I skip fried foods. You can bring your own food, which is huge, especially if you are severely allergic and don’t want to risk possible exposure. There are also packaged gluten-free brownies near the entrance at Eva and Delilah’s Bakery.
Overall, Silver Dollar City is a great option if you’re looking for gluten free in Branson. You just have to be willing to ask questions, check ingredients, and stay aware of cross-contamination.

Billy Gail’s
If you’re looking for a classic, hearty breakfast and still need gluten free in Branson, Billy Gail’s is a great stop. It’s definitely known for its giant pancakes and comfort food, but don’t let that scare you off.
They don’t offer gluten free pancakes or breads, so this isn’t the place for a direct swap, but there are still several naturally gluten free options that make it worth visiting.
I’ve eaten here twice and ordered the breakfast skillets both times, and they’ve been a really solid choice. The big thing I always look for is cross-contamination, and these are cooked on a flat top, not in shared fryers, so there’s less risk there. The skillets come with eggs, potatoes, and your choice of toppings like meats or veggies, so you can still get a filling meal without feeling limited.
Most dishes come with a side of bread or pancakes, but you can substitute those for a side of fruit for a gluten free option.
Overall, Billy Gail’s is a good option for gluten free in Branson if you’re okay skipping the pancakes and focusing on the savory side of the menu.

Local Flavor
If you’re looking for one of the best spots for gluten free in Branson, Local Flavor is at the very top of my list, especially if you have celiac disease or are highly sensitive to cross-contamination. They have a dedicated fryer. To my knowledge, nowhere else in Branson has a dedicated fryer. That means this is the only place you can actually have fried chicken, fries, and catfish safely.
The atmosphere is fun and family friendly. It reminds me of a mom-and-pop Cracker Barrel, with better food.
Ozark Mountain Pizza
If you’re heading in or out of Silver Dollar City and looking for gluten free in Branson, Ozark Mountain Pizza is a convenient stop. We stopped here on our way out of town, and the pizza was delicious. And just as important, I didn’t get sick afterward, which is always the biggest win when you’re dealing with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities.
They offer a gluten free crust, and it’s one of the better-reviewed options in town. I had a good experience here, but like any pizza place, ask about cross-contamination since flour is everywhere.

Dolly Parton’s Stampede
I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous to try Dolly Parton’s Stampede. Dinner shows can be tricky when you’re looking for gluten free in Branson, especially with celiac disease, because everyone is usually served the exact same meal with very little flexibility. However, this ended up being one of the most accommodating experiences.
They did an amazing job catering to gluten-free needs, and not just with one or two substitutions. They actually had a gluten free alternative for almost every single gluten-containing item on the menu, including a gluten-free cookie for dessert, which I honestly did not expect at all.

Before they start the show, your server will clearly explain what is and isn’t gluten free. I recommend trying to sit down early so you have more time to let the server know about your allergy. There are a few items you’ll need to skip, like the soup, but most of the main meal is actually safe. The Cornish hen and several of the sides are all naturally gluten free, which makes it feel like you’re still getting the full experience instead of a modified version.
Beyond the food, the show itself is just so fun. My kids absolutely love it, and it’s one of those experiences that ends up being a highlight of the trip every time. My kids have asked to go back multiple times, even though we were just there a few months ago.
If you’re looking for gluten free in Branson and don’t want to skip out on a dinner show, this is one I would feel confident recommending again and again.

Momo’s Sushi & Grill
If you’re spending time around Branson Landing and looking for gluten free in Branson, Momo’s Sushi & Grill is a really great option that’s just a short walk away. It’s not technically on Branson Landing, but it’s close enough to easily walk, which makes it super convenient if you’re already shopping or exploring that area.
This is actually a spot I’ve been to twice, which says a lot. I don’t usually go back somewhere unless I feel confident about both the food and how they handle gluten free requests, especially with celiac disease or sensitivities.
One of the best things about Momo’s is how knowledgeable the staff is. If you let your server know you’re gluten free, they’re really helpful about explaining what can be modified, what to avoid, and how they can help reduce cross-contamination in the kitchen.

It’s also just a nice change of pace from heavier meals. If you’ve been eating a lot of comfort food in Branson, this feels a little lighter while still being really satisfying.
With sushi, there are always a few things to watch for, like soy sauce and certain sauces that contain gluten. But they’re great about swapping ingredients and guiding you toward safer options, which makes it much easier to enjoy a meal without second-guessing everything.

Big Cedar Lodge (Gluten-Free in Branson Dining + Activities)
Big Cedar is another major destination to keep in mind when you’re looking for gluten free in Branson. Big Cedar is known for being a high-end resort with hiking trails, waterfalls, and tons of activities. You do not need to stay at Big Cedar to visit and enjoy the fun.
My kids and I spent time at Fun Mountain, which is such a great stop for families. It’s part arcade, part adventure space with a treehouse and tons of activities, so it’s an easy win if you’re traveling with kids and need a break from shows or sightseeing.

While we were there, we ate at Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl & Grill, and I was really impressed with how accommodating they were for gluten free in Branson. I was able to order a burger with a gluten free bun, which always feels like a treat when that’s an option. I was also excited to hear they had gluten free options for kids, so kids with allergies wouldn’t be left out of the fun.
From what I’ve heard, that level of awareness isn’t just limited to one restaurant. Big Cedar as a whole seems to do a really good job training their staff on gluten-free needs and cross-contamination precautions.
I’ve also heard especially great things about Osage Restaurant, which is their more upscale dining option. I haven’t personally eaten there yet, so I can’t speak from experience, but it consistently comes up as a top recommendation restaurant for gluten free in Branson with a more elevated dining experience.

Steamy Joe Café
Even if Steamy Joe Café didn’t offer gluten free in Branson, I would still go just for the coffee and the views. It sits up on the mountain with some really beautiful scenery, and the whole place just has a relaxed, cozy vibe that makes you want to stay awhile.
But thankfully, they do have gluten free options, which makes it even better. I ordered a classic breakfast and substituted the bread for fruit. It was delicious. It’s one of those naturally gluten free meals that feels filling and safe. My family had plenty of options too, so it worked well as a stop where everyone could find something they wanted.

The only downside to Steamy Joe’s Cafe is the wait. We ended up waiting almost an hour to be seated. It’s a smaller restaurant, and because it’s so good (and those views don’t hurt), it stays busy. If you’re planning to go, I’d definitely recommend going on a weekday or getting there early on a weekend morning. That way you can enjoy your meal without a long wait.
Places I Haven’t Tried Yet (but I have heard good things about)
These are a few spots I haven’t personally eaten at yet, but they’ve come up multiple times as good options for gluten free in Branson. As always, I’d recommend asking questions and confirming preparation before you order.
Landry’s Seafood
This is one I keep hearing about because they offer a separate gluten free menu, which always makes things easier when ordering. Seafood is often naturally gluten free, so it’s a promising option.

Carly’s Healthy Cuisine
This spot focuses on healthier meals, and while they don’t have a fully gluten free menu, many items can be modified. It seems like a good option if you’re looking for something lighter.
Florentina’s Ristorante Italiano
Italian can be tricky when you’re gluten free, but I’ve heard Florentina’s is able to modify certain dishes and has gluten free pasta.
Hidden Pines Restaurant
One thing that stands out here is that allergens are listed directly on the menu, which is always helpful when you’re trying to make quick, informed decisions.

Lakeside Resort Restaurant
This is another spot where many menu items can be made gluten free. Be sure to ask the server what gluten free options they have.
Old 76 Smokehouse
They reportedly have allergen markings on the menu, which is always a good sign. With barbecue, there are often naturally gluten free options, but I always recommend double checking that the sauces are gluten free. Many of them are, but I have seen gluten in just enough that it makes me nervous to try any without asking first.
Guy Fieri’s Branson Kitchen + Bar
I’ve heard they offer a gluten free menu, which is always encouraging. This could be a fun, more casual spot if you’re traveling with a group and want something with a lively atmosphere.

Conclusion
I have been to Branson countless times and can always find delicious gluten free food. I am happy to report, that you don’t have to miss out on all the joy of eating while traveling when you’re there. I hope these suggestions help you enjoy your trip even if you are gluten free in Branson.
